Fr Francis Guezou Foundation connects all friends, beneficiaries and well-wishers of Fr Guezou who are associated with Don Bosco Centre at Yelagiri Hills. The intent is to involve and partner in the noble mission of Fr Guezou, continued in the spirit of Don Bosco.

Fr Francis Guezou is acclaimed as a legendary of Yelagiri Hills.  With his arrival at Yelagiri Hills on December 31st 1962, Christian presence became a reality on the Hills. He always worked for the holistic development of the people. He respected and preserved the specific ethnic, cultural and religious characteristics of the people.

The policies for people development lived by Fr Guezou are:

 

• Providing the best of education for the young
• Creating employment through education (both academic and professional)
• Providing basic facilities to ensure livelihood for all and to improve the quality of life
• Providing direct employment for people in crisis (particularly during droughts and disease)
• Respecting the culture and religion of the people and participating in their social customs

Fr. Francis Guezou Foundation intends to build a network of all people who continuously seek ways to sustain Fr. Guezou's mission to educate and care for the youth, providing means for their integral development, through scholarships, mentoring and other interventions through Don Bosco Centre.
