Friends of Fr Guezou in France

Friends of Father Guezou is an association providing humanitarian service to the South India. 'The Friends' came into being in 1952, when Fr Guezou and Mr Leon Duhayon contacted each other for the first time to collaborate in their mission of South India.

It has representatives and members all over the world. Duhayon covered whole of France for 40 years of his life to introduce and promote the developmental activities of Fr. Guezou in India. The Friends of Father Guezou continue the same in assisting the Mission in South India. The members regularly conduct seminars and conferences in schools and various other associations.

The Association now has the support of about 5000 members across the countries; and most of them are French. It has no office on its own and all the official works are done informally through the volunteers.

The association began by Leon Duhayon has the objective of supporting Fr. Guezou in his developmental activities in three states of India; namely, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. It has contributed greatly towards: Education and formation of Youth, Rural development in South India; relief to the needy, disabled, and lepers; Construction of Schools, Clinics and water facilities.

Fr Francis Guezou Anabond Social Welfare Centre

Anabond's Corporate Social Responsibility activities are administered by Fr. Francis Guezou Social Welfare Centre, the main arm of Anabond, through which the CSR activities are executed.

Destiny had it that the Chairman of Anabond benefitted by the selfless service of the great soul, Fr Francis Guezou. In better times, having successfully set up the Anabond operation, when the chairman approached Fr Francis to repay for his kindness, he was told in firm words "I do not run a financial institution. If you want to do something in return, then educate more children yourself" Powerful empathetic words.. which were to embody the spirit and direction of the social responsibility of Anabond in times to come... Fr. Francis Guezou is no more... His last meal at Ilavenil- Anabond Guesthouse at Yelagiri Hill with his favorite dish pâté de foie gras a French delicacy specially brought over for him... He breathed his last... But the selfless ideals of Fr. Francis Guezou lives in every vein of the members of the Anabond family in body and spirit through the Fr. Francis Guezou Social Welfare Centre- A Homage to a great man....
